This article will guide you through connecting an Identity to LinkedIn via the platform UI. If you’re looking to connect an Identity using our API, refer to the API guide: Adding & Managing Identities.

1. Create a New Identity

Start by navigating to the Identities section:
https://app.edges.run/identities

Then click “New Identity” to create a new one.

This identity represents the LinkedIn profile you want to connect.

The timezone selection is important — make sure you choose a timezone that matches the location of your VPN or the place where you usually log into LinkedIn manually.

2. Click on “Connect LinkedIn”

After creating the identity, go to the LinkedIn Integration section:
https://app.edges.run/integrations/linkedin

Then click the “Connect LinkedIn” button.

This will start the LinkedIn connection process..

3. Select the Identity

From the dropdown menu, select the identity you just created.

4. Generate & Open the Link

Click “Connect LinkedIn” again – this will generate a secure link.

  • If you’re connecting your own profile, open the link directly.

  • If someone else (e.g. a teammate or client) needs to connect their LinkedIn, send them the link.

5. Install the Browser Extension (if not already installed)

The connection page will prompt the person connecting to install the Edges browser extension. This is required for authentication.

If the extension is already installed, it will skip this step.

6. Click “Accept” to Finalize

Once the extension is installed, click the “Accept” button to complete the connection.

This will securely authenticate the LinkedIn session and link the profile to your identity in Edges.

✅ You’re all set!

Your LinkedIn integration is now successfully configured and ready to use in your internal workflows or real-time actions.

🎉 Et voilà! You’re good to go!
